Eric Howard has been active in energy, environment, sustainability and conservation since the early 1990s. For five years he was Executive Director of the Maine Wood Products Assn, and for ten years he was E.D. of the Fulbright Academy of Science & Technology. As a director or manager, he has led initiatives for Nelnet Renewable Energy, Oxfam, Second Nature, Northeastern University, World Wildlife Fund, and others. From 2018-2021, he worked primarily with college and university leaders on implementing their decarbonization commitments. He earned degrees from Wesleyan University, the Nicolas School of the Environment at Duke University and the Graduate School of Education at Northeastern University.
