Assistant to Project Management/Selections Specialist

Unity Homes, a design-build company located in Walpole, NH, seeks an energetic full-time associate to join the Project Management team as an Assistant to the Project Management Team.

Established in 2012 as a spin off from Bensonwood, Unity represents the culmination of 40 years of experience using off-site fabrication to build high quality homes.

Position Summary
The Assistant will be a part of the Project Management team and will assist with the successful execution of all projects. This role will be based in our Walpole, NH office and will be a part of our growing Unity team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take the lead in client selection of finishes and fixtures including kitchen design
  • Aiding with contract generation and change orders
  • Plan takeoffs and selections pricing for estimating
  • Soliciting, evaluating and comparing vendors and subcontractors for project pricing
  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors
  • Generating RFPs (Requests for Proposal)
  • Creating subcontracts and generating purchase orders
  • Placing material orders and coordinating deliveries with a variety of vendors
  • Processing/approving vendor invoices
  • Product research
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures relevant to the role

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google applications
  • Polite, courteous and tactful manner with vendors, clients, associates and the public
  • Ability and flexibility to take on other responsibilities as assigned
  • Knowledge of CAD programs is helpful
  • Experience with or the ability to learn accounting software, preferably Sage 100 Contractor

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly range is $18-20 based on experience
