After serving as an architectural designer working on projects in a variety of industries, including academic, hospitality, medical, museum, and civic projects, Oliver shifted his focus to building sciences. As Building Scientist and Project Manager at National Grid, he managed 40+ projects as part of the Deep Energy Retrofit (DER) pilot program to achieve dramatic energy savings and comfort improvements in residential homes. Over the next decade, he continued to expand his building science experience in Passive House and zero-carbon projects. Oliver utilizes his expertise in building envelope performance, construction methodologies, and decarbonization retrofits working with RPM clients. He holds a A.B. in Engineering Sciences, a B.E. in Engineering Design, and a M.S. in Materials Science from Dartmouth College (Thayer School of Engineering), and a M. Arch from Boston Architectural College. In addition to all of this, Oliver is a classical violinist who served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Panama National Symphony while living in Panama in 1993-94; is an avid outdoor enthusiast, organic gardener, and beekeeper.
