Gwen’s professional focus is on promoting the design, construction, and operation of high-performance multifamily buildings. During her 15 plus years in the building energy industry, she has gained expertise in building science, program development and evaluation, and field investigation. She is a project manager at NYSERDA on the New Construction team, where she works in a number of capacities for NYSERDA’s innovative programs and competitions

A dedicated volunteer, Gwen served on the Building Energy NYC Content Committee for 4 years before co-chairing the 2021 conference. She has also volunteered with Urban Green Council since 2008 and is currently member of the UGC Program Committee.

Gwen has a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Fairfield University, a MEM from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, and a Professional Certificate in Construction Technology from New York University. She lives in Harlem with her husband, who is also in the building energy industry.
