Yetsuh Frank is an architect, writer and educator with nearly 20 years’ experience in green building and sustainability. As Managing Director, Strategy & Programs for the non-profit Building Energy Exchange, Yetsuh has been instrumental in the creation of their energy and lighting efficiency resource center in Manhattan and guides the focus of their education, research and exhibit programs. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University in the Urban Design & Architecture program. Yetsuh’s diverse background working in both the private and non-profit sectors allows him to balance both the visionary and practical considerations of advancing sustainability in the built environment.

Prior to a stint as a Director at YRG sustainability consultants, Yetsuh was Director of Programs & Policy at Urban Green Council where he was responsible for the development of educational programs and advocacy initiatives that promoted green building in and around New York City. Yetsuh chaired the US Green Building Council LEED 2009 Regionalization Task Force, has been a LEED Subject Matter Expert and a member of the USGBC Core Team. Prior to joining Urban Green Council he was an Associate at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners, where he led the Sustainable Design Group and managed a series of high profile projects including the Tutu Center, the Sports Museum of America and the Geothermal Well Field for the General Theological Seminary in Manhattan- at the time the largest geothermal well field in the region. In 2007 Yetsuh was selected by the Climate Project to be among 1000 volunteers trained by Al Gore to present his slideshow on the global climate crisis. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon in 1995 and regularly moderates public events focused on urban sustainability and green building issues.
