Project Description: 

New traditional cape style energy-saving home in the mountains of western Maine. Approximately 2,000 square feet with 2.5 baths, four bedrooms and an office, and a barn-style two car garage with room for storage.

Certified Passive House Institute United States (PHIUS), designed by Robin Gorrell and Garland Mills' Ben Southworth, built by Maine Passive House.

Home heated by Envi electric wall-mounted heaters and an <NAME> wood stove. Solar hot water using evactuated tubes <BRAND>, and photovoltaic <panel name> 6.1kw system designed and installed by ReVision Energy. 

Intus wood-colored windows (tilt-turn casement) and doors. Air exchange with an added "comfo-fund" ground loop for extra efficiency.

This two-story home is very pleasant and traditional-looking, with gable roof upstairs and first-floor porches. Interior roomy and light with a few timberframe posts and stained-glass wall insets.
