Rudy Stegemoeller is the Special Assistant for Energy Policy at the New York State Department of Public Service, where he has been active in developing all facets of the Commission’s REV initiative.
Rudy began his career with the law firm of LeBouef, Lamb, Leiby and MacRae, where he practiced administrative and judicial litigation on utility and environmental issues. He then worked as a counsel to the New York State Assembly, an administrative law judge for the New York PSC, a senior advisor with the Regulatory Assistance Project, and principal of a private legal and consulting practice that focused on clean energy and consumer issues.
He holds a law degree from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Haverford College.
