This tour of the CreekSide Net Zero House features one of the first Net Zero homes in Central/Western NY. Homeowners Tom Lambert and Ann Buchau will offer both a professional perspective on Net Zero and energy modeling, and the homeowners’ perspective on living in a house built to the stringent Net Zero standards. Project energy partners and experts are also excited to answer questions during the tour. This isn’t your typical Net Zero design – traditional stick building elements were combined with the age-old craft of timber framing to form the bones of the project. Natural lighting, on-site PV array, and a design allowing winter passive solar heat gain and summer shade are just the tip of the iceberg. The homeowners are excited to share their experiences to help inspire others interested in building science and energy during this Pro Tour.
