Sustainable Comfort, Inc., a Worcester-based green building and energy efficiency consulting firm with expertise in multifamily housing, is seeking an Architectural Drafter who will be required to use Autodesk Revit software to create architectural construction documents for multi-family housing.

Our focus is Sustainability & Green Buildings. SCI works with development and construction teams throughout Worcester, and the greater Northeast Region to make better multifamily buildings, with a specific focus in ENERGY Star Homes, LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, Passive House, HERS Rating, State Incentive Programs, and Code Compliance. The Architectural Drafter will work with architects and developers to develop building plans with an eye for sustainability.

Key Activities:

  • Plans and drafts design development and construction drawings
  • Must understand and adhere to office drafting procedures and/or specific client drafting procedures
  • Work closely with team members and assist to complete projects on aggressive schedules by meeting deadlines within expected time and budget constraints
  • Generate revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups, redlined drawings and project document sets
  • Interprets, understands and coordinates with other discipline’s drawings
  • Implement drawing modification procedures and prepare drawings accordingly
  • Understand basic building science, as well as work with various green building programs such as Energy Star, LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, and Passive House Certification programs.
  • Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment to ensure work gets out the door on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-3 years minimum related work experience
  • Degree from or currently enrolled in an architectural program
  • Positive team player with a strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit 2018 BIM Modeling
  • Proven ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
