We believe that Assembling the Right Team Means Everything.  We specialize in Sustainability Consulting, Plan and Cost Reviews, Site Observation (Requisition) Inspections, Phase I ESAs and Property Conditions Reports.  Our clients include traditional banks as well as private lenders, mortgage lending institutions, city housing agencies, real estate developers, and property owners.  We are looking to add an experienced Building Inspector / Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Sustainability team who will primarily work in NYC with time split between home office (remote work), midtown Manhattan office, and site visits.  

The motivated candidate will have:

  • Knowledge about building construction principles and processes  
  • An understanding of and interest in sustainable/renewable building principles

  • Experience performing energy audits for IPNA’s, LL87 etc., for multifamily buildings
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, inquisitive, follow‐up, etc.
  • Advanced computer skills, experience with Microsoft Suite (in particular, Excel)
  • Pride in their work and the desire to succeed and grow professionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related degree with an emphasis on buildings and their operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform site visits entailing building systems analysis and report generation following field work for NYC programs including IPNAs, LL87, NYSERDA MPP and EGC
  • Complete required reports for IPNA, EGC, LL87, NYSERDA MPP and HUD’s CNA eTool ∙ Perform energy audits and diagnostic testing to meet various standards  
  • Have understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Ensure report deliverables are on time and of high quality and follow ANSI, BPI and otherreporting standards
  • Provide client customer satisfaction via phone, text, email and in‐person
  • Seminar/webinar attendance and continuing education
  • Contribute to developing processes and improvements within the organization
