Description:

Philippe Campus, AIA of PHC Architect and Elizabeth DiSalvo, AIA of Trillium Architects present two case studies following the construction from start to finish of a new single family house and a residential renovation, to show how Passive House principles are applied in the field. Attendees will hear about the building sites and their effects on Passive House requirements, documents and code compliance, translating the PHPP model in the plans, finding a contractor, ventilation, heating/cooling, insulation and windows, and environmental, health and economic benefits of a Passive House.

Presenters:

Philippe Campus is principal of PHC Architect a Branford based firm specializing in passive house homes. He is a certified passive house consultant in both Passive House Institute and Passive House Institute US and a member of the New England Sustainable Energy Association.

Elizabeth DiSalvo is the founder and principal architect at Trillium Architects. Elizabeth has been a Registered Architect since 1993 and currently holds registration in the States of New York and Connecticut. She is a member of the AIA, NESEA, CTPH, PHNY, and the USGBC, and has been on the Board of Directors of the CT Green Building Council.
