East Branch Studio / Kent Hicks Construction Co. is seeking an architect to join our team!

We specialize in building energy efficient, net zero homes, passivhaus, deep energy retrofits of existing structures, and high-performance historical restoration. This is a great opportunity to learn about high performance building and be part of a small company with a strong mission to advance a response to climate change through the built environment.

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated designer, someone who is hungry to collaborate with colleagues and clients to build beautiful, resilient homes. You are intrigued by the challenge of co-creating and fostering a solid, long term vision for the design team and this company.

• You have 7 - 9 years of residential design experience, which include at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• You have the ability to build strong relationships of trust with clients.
• You are excited to work with a team of designers with good communication, creativity and respect.
• You will have a deep understanding of how choices in design affect budget, carbon footprint, resiliency, and schedules.
• You will create or bring a greater community of like-minded professionals and potential clients.
• You continue to build on your knowledge of design, materials and building science as well as improving systems and standards.
• You have extensive knowledge of Revit, building codes, fixtures, finishes, and sustainable building practices. Ideally, you have experience with high performance building systems.

The position is full time, with the possibility of some remote work. Pay is dependent on experience.
