Yard Coordinator / Facility

Position Summary

The Yard Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the production facility in a clean, orderly, and easily accessible manner while processing outgoing and incoming deliveries in an efficient manner utilizing lean principles.  This role will report to the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator and will be based in Keene, NH.

 

Primary Shipping Responsibilities

  • Prepare goods for shipping including crating, wrapping or bundling miscellaneous items and removing weather elements from product bundles when needed
  • Load trucks with forklift or by hand depending on the nature of the materials and assist with properly securing and protecting (i.e. tarping) loads as needed
  • Communicate with Shipping Coordinator about load preparation and all necessary paperwork
  • Keep upcoming shipments organized, prepared, and accessible for shipping
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and additional documentation  
  • Function as backup for Forklift Operations

 

Primary Receiving Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate storage processes
  • Receive materials for shop use and house construction
  • Receive incoming shipments utilizing Filemaker inventory control software
  • Organize, label, store, and protect all incoming materials in BWC yards
  • Proactively communicate and inform stakeholders about status of incoming product

 

Ideal candidate will also have

  • Ability to utilize and navigate electronic communication systems such time cards and email including the ability to take a picture of product and email
  • Forklift Operator Certification

 

Essential role functions

  • Climbing, walking and running
  • Ability to:
    • Drive various forklifts
    • Lift at least 50 lbs
    • Work safely and effectively at high elevations
    • Work safely and accurately utilizing forklift, heavy machinery, and sharp tools
    • Safely operate hazardous equipment
    • Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures
    • Work overtime if required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
