Conference + Trade Show News

Changes Coming to BuildingEnergy Boston 2018

We’re excited to announce some changes to the 2018 conference & trade show, all of which we think will make the experience for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors more valuable, meaningful, and fun. Here are some of the changes you can look forward to in 2018:

  • New Venue: After 10+ years at the Seaport World Trade Center, we’ll be moving to the Westin Boston Waterfront (across the street from the Seaport).
  • New Dates: The event will take place on Thursday & Friday, March 8 & 9, 2018.
  • All Inclusive: This year, your ticket or exhibitor fee will include access to everything—all sessions, all meals, all parties (including NESEA Night).

Upcoming Pro Tours

July 21 Vermont's First Multifamily Passive House

Milton, VT: This Pro Tour will feature Elm Place, a recently-constructed, 30-unit building which is poised to become the first multifamily Passive House structure in Vermont. Hosted by Duncan Wisniewski Architecture, this tour offers attendees an opportunity to learn about the techniques the design team employed to satisfy Passive House standards while still meeting the strict affordable housing budget.

August 4 LEED Platinum, Resilient Elementary School in Central New York

Binghamton, NY: NESEA returns to central NY for a Pro Tour of the LEED Platinum (pending) MacArthur Elementary School. This new-construction, high-performance school is the result of a collaborative, stakeholder-driven design process led by Ashley McGraw Architects. Pro Tour attendees will learn about the history of the building and the efficiency and resiliency strategies that were integrated into the project.

Solar Training for Design Professionals
