NESEA Board Election

Last Chance to Vote for NESEA's Board Candidates

NESEA Members elect the professionals who represent them on the Board of Directors, which consists of 13 members who meet every month to guide NESEA towards fulfilling its mission. Meet the current Board here.

This fall, NESEA Members will elect three new individuals to the Board, which will then appoint one additional member.

The election closes Monday, November 5. If you haven't already done so, meet the candidates and vote here.

Pro Tour RFP Closes on Wednesday!

Do you have a high-performance building project to share with the NESEA community? Then we invite you to submit a proposal for the 2019 BuildingEnergy Pro Tour series. The submission deadline has been extended to November 7.

Pro Tours are accredited, half-day tours of high performance buildings all over the Northeast that allow NESEA Members to showcase their innovative work.

Falmouth, ME - Join us for a BuildingEnergy Pro Tour of a single-family, net-zero energy home designed to meet ambitious performance metrics in a cold, coastal climate. The hosting team from Benjamin + Company will share the building and design strategies that made this project a reality.

Year Two of NESEA's Capacity Campaign

We are excited to launch year two of our Capacity Campaign this fall. This year’s campaign will provide opportunities to support NESEA’s mission and programs in a variety of ways. We’ll kick things off next week with a campaign to support our Emerging Professionals program - highlighting two major donors and the growing community they are supporting. Later in November, after we’ve digested our turkey (or tofurkey), we’ll celebrate Giving Tuesday. In December, you’ll hear from NESEA Board Chair Phil Kaplan and Board Secretary Lauren Brust Moss about why they support our community. Kaplan Thompson Architects First in Maine to be Awarded JUST Label

Kaplan Thompson Architects is the first company in the state of Maine to be awarded a JUST label. The JUST Program, an initiative from the International Living Future Institute, is a voluntary transparency platform for organizations to disclose information about how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments.

KTA joins a growing list of more than 80 JUST organizations throughout the country. Obtaining the JUST label required a careful review of new and existing firm policies and practices to determine how the company measured up across 22 indicator metrics in six categories: diversity, equity, safety, worker benefit, local benefit, and stewardship.

New Energy News Source for the Northeast

The Energy News Network is a nonprofit news site dedicated to keeping stakeholders, policymakers, and citizens informed of the important changes taking place in the transition to a clean energy system. Launched in 2010 as Midwest Energy News, ENN now offers four regional services including Northeast Energy News, which was added in 2018.
