The BuildingEnergy Boston Conference and Trade Show will be taking place in just a few weeks, on March 20-21. Our conference is a chance to join an inspiring community of over 1,000 practitioners in the fields of high-performance building, design, and energy efficiency from all around the Northeast.

For our 50th anniversary, we are planning two exciting days of in-depth accredited sessions and cross-disciplinary learning, all centered on the theme of "Building the Movement." We hope you will be joining us!

A Message from BuildingEnergy Boston Conference Co-Chair, Jacob Deva Racusin

"I am blown away with the quality of the programming for this year’s event! More than that, I’m blown away by the enthusiasm I’m hearing from people who cannot wait to connect in person during these exceptionally challenging times.

This year’s theme is "Building The Movement". When we selected this theme, I wasn’t aware of how critically we would need this type of convening right now. Just like every year, you will find exceptional and unique high-level professional content, networking opportunities galore, a robust trade show, featuring the best companies and orgs in the business, and a chance to reconnect with community and make new friends.

But this year, there’s something more. For one, it’s NESEA’s 50th anniversary, and we are ready to celebrate!

For another, it has never been more crucial for us to break out of our silos - individual, company, profession, sector, or industry - and work together to build progress towards our shared goals of a just transition to a low carbon built environment. This is not in spite of the current political and economic climate, but because of it. We need each other to do our best work, to be our best selves, and just to make it through the chaos that surrounds us.

So - this is your opportunity to join together, find yourselves in and with each other, and further build this movement with joy, celebration, determination, collaboration, and community. Please join us!"

Free Pre-Conference Webinar: Leveraging Cloud-Based Technologies to Understand, Report & Reduce Emissions

Event Date: Wednesday, March 12, 2025
Time: 12:00–1:00pm
Location: online
Cost: Free

Get ready for BuildingEnergy Boston with this free pre-conference webinar sponsored by Control Technologies, Inc.

As an increasing number of local governments are adopting building emissions reduction policies, building owners are evaluating measures to decarbonize and lower emissions, while adhering to these new standards. Achieving this level of emissions reduction requires proper measurement, verification, and identification of the systems that are producing the most emissions. Additionally, government ordinances, such as BERDO and BEUDO, require manual emissions reporting, which is subject to human error and can leave owners vulnerable to heavy fines.

Join us to learn about the Cloud-based technologies available to automate the emissions measurement and reporting process, and how to identify and prioritize emissions and energy reduction projects in order to strategize long term capital planning.
