Submit a Session Proposal by Thursday, December 10

In honor of the inquisitive learner in all of us, the theme of BuildingEnergy Boston 2021 is Getting at WHY.

Why submit a proposal? If your proposal is accepted as a conference session, your projects, innovations, ideas, and speakers will come before a full audience of sustainable building and energy professionals eager to learn from your experiences. Learn how to craft a strong proposal for Getting at WHY here.

The deadline to submit proposals is next Thursday, December 10. You can use this planning sheet to prepare your proposal. Proposals will be reviewed and vetted by a volunteer NESEA-Member committee to ensure that sessions are data-driven, diverse, and genuinely useful.

We've Met Our Match, But Not Our Goal!

Thank you to all who have supported NESEA with a donation or pledge since we launched our Annual Appeal last month. With your help, we met our $7,500 matching donation from NESEA Business Member Abode Energy Management!

Between donations from the match and an impressive pledge from current and former NESEA Board Members, we're over halfway to our FY21 fundraising goal of $50,000.

Donations to our Annual Appeal are a vital part of NESEA's existence, allowing us to keep registration affordable, implement measures to make NESEA more inclusive, and curate peer-reviewed content. Fundraising will be particularly essential to maintaining our financial health this year, as economic uncertainty persists and we recover from a fiscal year with a 10% net loss, a loss associated with our inability to hold our major events in person.

If you haven't already done so, please consider making as generous a gift as you can before the end of the calendar year in support of our continued resilience and our shared vision: a built environment in the Northeast that is climate neutral, adaptive and resilient, energy independent, architecturally inspiring, and supportive of connection and community.
