Pro Tour of an Integrated, Mixed-Use, Phased Development Project in Brooklyn

Event Date: Friday, August 23, 2024
Time: 1pm-5pm
Location: Brooklyn, NY
CEU Information: AIA (4 LU) (pending)
Cost: $25 Members/$35 Non-Members

Join us for a summer Pro Tour of an integrated, mixed-use, phased development project encompassing nearly a full city block in Brooklyn, NY. This project, which will include four buildings when complete, provides an example of phased construction using common-sense sustainability measures for an underserved population.

Our event will begin with an opening presentation from the hosting team at Curtis + Ginsberg Architects, which will give attendees background on developing the master plan for the site, trauma-informed design strategies, zoning process, the phased build of the development, and the overall approach to meeting client sustainability goals. After the opening presentation, we'll split into groups to hear from the professionals behind the project, who will share their specific work. After the tour, we'll host a reception and Q&A with the team.

If you are interested in projects that combine master-planning, complex phased construction with affordable housing, communal open space, and innovative energy and sustainability goals, this is the Pro Tour for you. Join us!
