Nick Young has been with AEA since 2014, and manages services around building electrification, heat pump water heating, and energy-focused design review services for affordable multifamily buildings. He is leading AEA’s team as the Technical Assistance Provider on the BUILD Program – California’s first statewide program offering incentives and free technical assistance for all-electric new residential buildings. Nick has worked on a number of CA Energy Commission funded research projects focusing on next generation grid-friendly zero-carbon building designs. He is also an active trainer, delivering courses on a variety of building science topics and certifications. Nick holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a BA in Linguistics and Chinese from UC Berkeley.
