An Invitation from the Conference Chairs

Hello!

Michelle Apigian (architect) and James Petersen (engineer) here. We’re delighted to be your BuildingEnergy Boston 2019 Co-Chairs—what an honor! Both of us are also immersed in day jobs where building design is changing for the good more rapidly than we’ve ever experienced. We’re learning so much, but there’s so much more to know.

So as conference chairs and as professionals hungry for knowledge, we invite you to join us on March 14 & 15 at the Westin Boston Waterfront.

We’re pleased to present a top-notch, interdisciplinary session line-up in keeping with this year’s theme of “Know How.” Sessions will focus on practical skills and immediately applicable knowledge—the innovations we’re working on, lessons we’ve learned, and new skills we need.

As conference chairs, our goal for this event is to provide you with the connections and tools you need to help create and build a thriving, sustainable, and equitable world.

Join us in March, and you won’t be disappointed. We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Michelle Apigian & James Petersen, 2019 Co-Chairs

Board Election Results

Thank you to all who voted this year to elect the new members of NESEA's Board of Directors. We are pleased to announce that this year marked the highest level of participation in our board election since 2010.

Rachel White (Byggmeister), Nancy Ludwig (ICON Architecture), Andrew Webster (studioWEBSTER) were each elected to serve a 3-year term. Betsy Glynn (BlueWave Solar) was appointed to a 3-year term, and Jennifer Kearney (Gotham 360) was appointed to a 1-year term.

We would also like to express our gratitude to our retiring board members Michael Bruss (Bruss Project Management), Martine Dion (SMMA), Paul Eldrenkamp (Byggmeister), and Rick Renner (Richard Renner | Architects) for their many years of service to NESEA's mission.

Thank you for Supporting NESEA’s Capacity Campaign!

Year 2 of NESEA’s Capacity Campaign is off to a great start. Between the sustaining and lead donations we secured in October, and the response we have received so far to Phil Kaplan and Lauren Brust Moss’s letter, we’ve already raised over $54,000. We’re more than half way to reaching this year’s goal!

Thank you to all who have contributed in support of NESEA’s mission! If you haven’t yet had the chance to donate, we hope you’ll do so today and join so many others in supporting NESEA’s important work!

Welcome to Our Newest Lifetime Members

We are proud to have welcomed 6 new NESEA Lifetime Members to our community in the past 6 months: Eric Bluestone, Dave Boettcher, Martine Dion, David Foley, Jenna Ide, and Kate Stephenson. Several of these individuals took advantage of the affordable installment plans that are now available.
