Welcome to the Green Jobs Academy (GJA) at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC). Since 2010, GJA/SMOC has been the preferred resource for information, technical training, and best practices in the home performance industry. GJA is one of the leading providers of building science trainings in Massachusetts. Our facilities, in Worcester and Framingham, MA, are designed to integrate classroom training and laboratory exercises, providing field technicians with an exceptional learning experience. GJA assists both Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) agencies and home performance contractors in staying current with all trainings mandated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (DHCD) and the utilities (MassSave).
