Overview:
Successful candidates should have interest/focus on low carbon materials and net-zero construction for housing, higher-ed, and civic projects. They can expect to be involved in all aspects of projects, from schematic design through construction administration for both architectural design and energy modeling. Applicants should have the ability and interest in leading projects, either upon employment or within one year of employment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Passive House certification processes either independently or in a team
• Facilitate reimbursement or grant opportunities for clients as needed
• Assist with AIA 2030 Challenge reporting
• Produce schematic, design development and construction documents in collaboration with project team members
• Manage teams, drawings and BIM modeling efforts in Revit
• Communicate visually and verbally with clients
• Coordinate project documentation, execution, construction plans and details, and consultant team while ensuring quality control and completion
• Review shop drawings, material samples and CDs for conformance with design
• Perform construction administration duties (e.g., RFIs, change orders, etc.)
Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience working in a professional office
• Passive House Consultant Certification (Required)
• Professional architectural licensure (Preferred)
• Project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in WUFI Passive, SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel
• A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Bluebeam
• Knowledge of building science, sustainable technologies
• Understanding of construction methods, building code, and zoning principles
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Bonus Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of THERM, EC3 Tool, and Tally.
• LEED, WELL, IFLI Certifications
Compensation:
Base salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 plus benefits. Compensation commensurate with experience.
