Michael Bosco is a Vice President with JLL’s Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) group. In this role, he is responsible for direct oversight of Portfolio Energy Managers that execute energy management and sustainability strategies that reduce energy usage and cost for client sites. These programs include the procurement of electric and natural gas commodities, identification and implementation of new technologies, as well as the coordination of demand side projects and sustainability initiatives for client portfolios.
Most recently, he has been managing ESS programs for several portfolios totaling 200 Million square feet across the Americas. These portfolios include financial office, retail banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, and mission critical data centers.
Michael graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Engineering Systems. He received a commission as an Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve and retired as a Lieutenant. Michael is a Professional Engineer in New York State, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Energy Auditor, with the Association of Energy Engineers. He is a LEED AP and a Licensed Engineering Officer for Steam, Motor, and Gas Turbine Vessels of Unlimited Horsepower from the United States Coast Guard.
Among his other accreditations, Michael was elected to the New York City Building Sustainability Board and also received the Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) Generalist and HVAC Specialist Certifications from the United States Department of Energy.
