I'm Bid Coordinator for MEP at Guthrie AI. My team supports controls and mechanical contractors on the front end of plan & spec bids: device markups and counts by floor and system; pipe, valve, fitting and duct takeoffs; RFI lists; and a changelog every time an addendum lands. Every count traces to a markup on the drawing, and the contractor's estimator keeps every judgment call, from go/no-go to the final number.
I came to Guthrie AI from the contractor side, as Chief Operating Officer at Kensington Mechanical, a commercial refrigeration contractor in Salem, NH. I hold a Master's in Sustainability from Harvard Extension School and serve on the advisory boards for Minuteman High School and Lynn Technical Institute's HVAC program.
I'd like to connect with NESEA members who design, build, control and commission high-performance buildings: controls integrators, mechanical contractors, MEP engineers and estimators. I'm always glad to compare notes on how teams are bidding heat pump, BAS and electrification scope, and where the front end of estimating slows them down.
Outside work, I'm a lifelong runner with a number of ultramarathons behind me.
