Harshika Bisht is a reviewer and green building policy professional who specializes in net-zero carbon implementation, building performance standards, and clean energy compliance. As a Senior Sustainable Design Reviewer for the City of Boston, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the city’s green building policies and advising on large-scale developments.
Harshika has reviewed the building performance of over 60 new development projects, applying data-driven methodologies to improve the development review process and ensure alignment with Boston’s ambitious carbon reduction goals. She has contributed to policy advancements at the city level, including the net-zero policy for new construction in Boston, the integration of an emissions calculator for net-zero compliance assessment, and campus sustainability standards.
She holds a Master of Design Studies in Ecology from Harvard University, where her research focused on equitable emissions reduction strategies in global cities. Harshika has been recognized as an Emerging Green Building Professional by the Salata Institute and has presented at leading industry conferences, including IBPSA-Simbuild and Innovate4Cities.
Previously, she served as a Greenbuild conference proposal reviewer and a judge for the USGBC Local Market Leadership Awards. She has a background in architecture with 7 years of experience in project management, sustainability consulting and strategy.
