BuildingEnergy Boston Webinar: Transitioning to Low-Temperature Hydronic Heating
Local governments have adopted building emissions reduction policies, and building owners are pursuing their own goals to decarbonize. Challenges exist to electrify buildings that currently use high-temperature hot water due to limited options for heat pumps that are limited by physics to attain ideal efficiencies. Strategies to help facilitate the transition from high-temperature hot water to low-temperature hot water will be examined, with a focus on how to retrofit existing terminal equipment that currently depends on high-temperature hot water to satisfy building loads.
