Architect - Project Manager

Dietz & Company Architects is seeking a talented Architect –Project Manager to add to our growing firm. Candidates must be open-minded, hard-working, detail-oriented, and proactive. The primary function of the Project Manager is day-to-day management of small to midsize projects throughout all phases of design, including direct client and consultant contact. The role also requires:

• Serving as the primary client contact for assigned projects
• Preparing strategic plans for project success
• Coordination of all project efforts
• Management of a collaborative, integrated team structure for all phases of work
• Leading and managing the production team in the completion of one or more projects simultaneously

Essential skills and qualities include:

• High degree of proficiency with Revit, Sketchup, and rendering software
• Ability to effectively use E-Specs and Fast Track
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of construction methods
• Working knowledge of building code and zoning principles
• Working knowledge of building science and sustainability concepts
• Working knowledge of CSI Masterformat System and ability to produce outline specifications
• Interpersonal skills that will allow you to be a point of contact for clients and contractors
• Ability to write proposals for both scope and fee
• Develop and deliver presentations to groups, public meetings, and with clients
• Ability to self-manage your time is a must
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills

The ideal candidate for the Architect - Project Manager role should have 5+ years of direct architectural experience. Licensure is not required but is preferred.
