Calling All Carpenters!

Are you looking for a hands-on introduction to building energy-efficient, high-performance homes?

The Studio for High-Performance Design and Construction in Newton is launching a 6-week series designed specifically BY carpenters, FOR carpenters. 100% in-person, no Zoom!

This course teaches carpenters how to apply fundamental building skills to high-performance construction projects. Topics focus on the four layers of a high-performance house: water, air, vapor, and thermal. Throughout the 6-week course, you will learn high-performance essentials through building science lessons and hands-on practice with mock-up assemblies.

Who it’s for: If you have at least 2 years of work experience in the building trades, and are looking to advance in your career as a carpenter, this course is for you.

Dates & Times: 6 consecutive Thursday afternoons from 1-5pm (24 hrs total), August 4 through September 8, 2022.
Location: Newton, MA
Limited to: 12 participants
Instructors: Aaron Gunderson, Pete Prokesch, Nick Falkoff, Ryan McCarthy, Richard Despres and more!
Tuition: If you work in the state of MA, you can get 80% of the tuition cost reimbursed by the Workforce Training Fund! (Net cost to employer/participant is $580)
MA CSL Continuing Ed Credits: 6 credits for an additional fee of $150.
