Keeping It Cool! Toolkits and Strategies for Extreme Heat and Urban Heat Island Mitigation
This session will present several new and emerging free-to-access resources for developing and advancing extreme heat and urban heat island mitigation solutions. These tools include guidance for building design and construction, zoning and urban planning, extreme heat communication, and policy level solutions. This session will equip attendees with knowledge of resources that can help stakeholders at all levels of involvement navigate and implement effective solutions for extreme heat.

This session is pre-approved for 1 credit hour toward AIA (LU|HSW), BPI, LEED (BD+C, ID+C, O+M), WELL, MA CSL, and NARI certification. Those who attend a full day of the conference are additionally eligible for credit toward Phius and RESNET certification.
