Ned Collier AIA, LEED AP, Principal | Education Studio. Ned is an academic planner, programmer, and designer. He excels at working collaboratively with academic constituents to realize solutions that support an institution’s goals and mission. His award-winning project experience includes multiple academic building types: academic classroom and administration buildings, auditoriums and lecture halls, libraries/learning centers, campus centers and dining facilities, residence halls and campus precinct planning, and fine and performing arts facilities. Ned’s clients have included state universities, as well as a range of liberal arts colleges, research universities, and community colleges.
Ned is a frequent speaker at the Society for College and University Planners (SCUP) on topics such as planning for interdisciplinary, sustainable design, consensus building, and cost planning. His current research includes planning for “face-to-face” and online learning environments, and collaborative learning spaces.
