Haripriya Elumalai has over 7 years of construction experience building mid-rise and high-rise market-rate and affordable housing in NYC. She began her career as an Estimator for a construction firm in Colorado and evolved into her current role as a Project Manager for a notable GC/CM in New York City. In her current role, Haripriya is responsible for total project management including controlling budgets, negotiating subcontracts, coordinating with city agencies, and planning day-to-day activities with the project team to ensure construction remains on schedule and within budget. A team player, Haripriya holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, and engineers, resulting in successful construction projects.
Some of the notable projects that Haripriya has been involved with are Cornell Tech – world’s tallest Passive House (PHI) on Roosevelt Island, NY – and Park Avenue Green (also known as Morris II) – Bronx’s first large affordable housing PHIUS project. She is currently working on a 17- to 30-story twin tower residential project in downtown Manhattan.
Haripriya is a LEED Accredited Green Associate and Certified Passive House (PHI) Tradesperson. She obtained her Masters in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Management from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and Bachelors of Civil Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University India.
Outside of work, as an ardent hiker and snowboarder, Haripriya enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
