Dr. Marwa Zaatari, Ph.D., is a global leader in indoor air quality, decarbonization, and performance-based building design. She is Vice President of Building Solutions at Aeroseal and Chief Engineer at Poppy, advancing technologies that improve ventilation, air quality, and energy efficiency.
Dr. Zaatari plays a key role in shaping industry standards as Chair of ASHRAE SSPC 62.1 and Chair of ASHRAE’s Center of Excellence for Indoor Environmental Quality (CE-IEQ). She is also an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer and recipient of the 2024 ASHRAE Standards Achievement Award. She led the risk assessment work for ASHRAE Standard 241 on pathogen mitigation and contributes to the ARPA-H BREATHE program. She serves on the boards of Montana Technologies and the U.S. Green Building Council and advises on air quality and sustainability in schools through USGBC Green Schools and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
