Brian is a Partner at Housing Sustainability Advisors, a solar developer and consulting firm that has technical, financial, legal and policy expertise to bring the benefits of solar to low and moderate income (LMI) households. Since 2015 Brian has led, co-led, or supported over 8MW of solar projects that benefit LMI households & affordable housing organizations, churches and schools. To date the majority of the 40 solar projects have focused on LIHTC (low-income housing tax credit) properties, as well as 3.5MW of community solar projects. Previously Brian worked at DC Sustainable Energy Utility, focused on bringing energy efficiency technologies to low-income DC households, and DOE/EERE/Office of Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs in the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) during ARRA, assisting with scaling up weatherization funds to LMI households, and helped launch the Weatherization Innovation Pilot Program. Brian holds a MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School in economic development and a BS from Carleton College.
