David Ruggiero is the Director of Energy Operations for the City of Providence, RI. He has over 25 years of experience in the high-performance building industry working as a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor, a LEED Accredited Professional, a certified HERS rater, and a consultant with a focus on energy-efficiency and renewable energy. His involvement in cutting edge green building projects and programs ranges from ENERGY STAR to zero energy homes to Passive House. Presently, as Director of Energy Operations Mr. Ruggiero oversees all decarbonization, energy efficiency, and distributed generation program planning and implementation for the City of Providence. Ruggiero is a Northeastern University graduate.
