Betsy Isenstein joined the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) as the Director of Energy and Sustainability in 2017. The Energy and Sustainability Team designs, guides, and implements the Commonwealth’s nationally recognized program for energy and water efficiency improvements in state buildings.
Ms. Isenstein came to DCAMM from Tufts University where she was the Director of Facilities Technical Services. At Tufts, she provided strategic and forward-looking planning in all areas of Facilities Services with a particular emphasis on energy and utilities. Major areas of focus included strategic utility procurement, campus energy and utility systems, building automation, water, and solid waste reduction. Previous to this position, she was the energy manager at Tufts.
Prior to joining Tufts in 1995, Ms. Isenstein managed energy programs for General Electric Company. Ms. Isenstein holds a BSE in Civil Engineering from Tufts and an MBA from Northeastern University.
