Brenda Stern

Brenda Stern is a senior engineer at Thornton Tomasetti in Boston, working on diverse projects ranging from renovations to new construction. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from MIT. Brenda explored low embodied carbon design pathways in her Master’s thesis, "Minimizing Embodied Carbon in Multi-material Structural Optimization of Planar Trusses."
