Chris Lucarelle earned Bachelors’ Degrees in Communications from Marist College. After graduation in 1997, Chris was brought on to help develop a startup construction and demolition recycling company in Western Massachusetts. In 2002, Waste Management bought that facility and Chris stayed on with WM to run operations. Chris held various management positions with WM over a twelve-year period including District Manager for both Landfill Operations and Collection Operations. In 2014, Chris was named Area Director of Recycling Operations for the New England Market Area. In this role, Chris is responsible for the development of new and emerging organics processing capabilities throughout the Region as well as oversight of the Recycling assets. After five years of development efforts, WM entered into a five-year pilot project agreement with the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District to supply the WWTP with engineered food waste bioslurry for their anaerobic digesters and CHP units. To date WM has supplied over 1.5 million gallons of EBS and the digesters are generating over 1M Cu. Ft. of gas per day.
