Christopher Till, P.E., Town of Manchester, CT, Facilities Manager
Christopher Till has served the Town of Manchester for over 15 years. He is responsible for planning, developing, and directing facilities operations, maintenance, repair, capital construction, and renovation programs for the Town and the Board of Education. During his tenure in Manchester, Chris has led the $250M transformation and consolidation of the elementary school’s system from ten (10) K-5 facilities to six (6) K-4 schools and the expansion of the 6th grade academy to include all of the districts fifth graders. The last 3 of these school projects are designed as Net Zero Energy. Currently, Chris oversees the design and construction for the 75,000 sq. ft. New Manchester Library scheduled to begin construction in January 2025 featuring Net Zero Energy design using geothermal wells, water-source heat pumps, battery electric storage, microgrid control, and solar PV panels. He holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental & Water Resources Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.
