Kathleen is an engineer with 7 years of experience working in energy and sustainability. She is a passionate building scientist working to make buildings better for humans and the planet. In 2021 she founded Kakoon Buildings, a high-performance building consulting business where she helps owners and developers meet their sustainability and healthy building goals. She has a bachelor's degree in physics from Cornell College and master's in sustainable engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Kathleen is a LEED AP, Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM). She is active in the local community, serving on the Wisconsin USGBC Market Leadership Advisory Board and is a past president of the Wisconsin ASHRAE chapter.
