Matthew Mongan is a Project Manager specializing in managing sustainable design and construction projects across the United States. Since joining SOCOTEC in 2023, and previously in a similar role with Atelier Ten, he has provided critical expertise in sustainability by analyzing embodied carbon, daylighting, water efficiency, and LEED feasibility for commercial and institutional projects. Matthew collaborates closely with diverse project teams — including owners, architects, engineers, and commissioning agents — to ensure sustainability goals are met, enhancing energy performance, indoor air quality, and overall project compliance with LEED or other certification standards.
Before his role at Atelier Ten, Matthew was a Client Relations Coordinator at the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP), where he conducted energy audits and identified solutions to improve energy efficiency and sustainability for clients. He holds a B.A. in Global Environments and Sustainability from the University of Virginia, where he also conducted research on residential energy efficiency and sustainable development solutions, including a solar micro-grid project for underserved communities in Kenya. His certifications and experience underscore a strong commitment to advancing sustainable and resilient built environments.
