Paul joined New Ecology in November 2015. Prior to joining New Ecology, he worked as a Home Energy Advisor at Next Step Living, where he conducted over 1,300 Mass Save energy audits in residential homes around the Greater Boston area. He has extensive experience in making efficiency upgrade recommendations to building owners and helping them access rebates available through the Mass Save program. Paul has also worked for Earthwatch Institute as a Research Officer on the HSBC Climate Partnership. In this role he ran volunteer research teams collecting data to observe the impacts of climate change on woodland ecosystems at Wytham Woods, Oxford, UK. He holds a MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Exeter, UK and a BSc in Biology from the University of Sheffield, UK.
