Paula D. Ziegenbein is a senior consultant with Hartranft Lighting Design where she is responsible for providing architectural lighting design services for commercial lighting projects and expanding the company’s range of services to an expanded client base. With over 25 years' experience in the lighting industry, Paula has served in key product development & applications engineering management and strategic marketing roles with Global lighting leader OSRAM. During this time she worked with some of the Nation’s largest retail national accounts, property management firms, energy services companiesand electrical wholesalers to design and specify energy efficient, application appropriate lighting systems as well as to bring voice of customer input back to the organization. As a commercial engineer, Paula collaborated on hundreds of projects with lighting designers, architects, interior designers and electrical engineers with project design, product and control system specification support.
Both an educator and highly recognized speaker, Paula has served as an assistant adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire and has presented at many industry conferences including LIGHTFAIR International, The International Facilities Management Association and the International Association of Lighting Designers.
Paula has served as the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Progress Committee Chair, New England Section President and as a member of the IES Taylor Technical Talent Award Committee. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and is Lighting Certified by the National Council for the Qualification of
Lighting Professions and has received IES Lighting Design awards for designprojects at OSRAM SYLVANIA’s North American Headquarters. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
