Stephanie Carlisle is an environmental researcher at KieranTimberlake, an architecture firm recognized for practice-based research and environmentally innovative buildings. She investigates topics related to the interaction between the constructed and natural environment, including environmental systems, urban ecology, and life cycle analysis. Combining a background in environmental science and architectural design, Stephanie serves as a bridge between research and practice, bringing data-driven analysis to complex architectural problems. Her current work at KieranTimberlake involves using industrial symbiosis to integrate resource use for projects such as the New London Embassy, Energy Efficient Building Hub and Yale University. Stephanie is a core member of the development team for Tally, a plug-in for Revit which empowers designers to run full-building life cycle assessments during design. Stephanie received a Master in Environmental Management and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. She is presently a lecturer of Urban Ecology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design and is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Scenario Journal.
