Toby Hyde

Toby leads regulatory engagement on behalf of the Con Edison building electrification portion of the energy efficiency portfolio. His work helped secure over $500 million in funding to relaunch the Con Edison Clean Heat Program in 2023.

Toby and the Con Edison Clean Heat team were named an Exemplary Program as part of the ACEEE “Leaders of the Pack” awards in 2024.

Toby joined Con Edison in 2021 after beginning his career in energy in 2017 with National Grid. In that role, he worked on topics that included improving the compensation of distributed energy resources to align with their value to the distribution grid, rate design and the benefits of advanced metering infrastructure, storage and electric vehicles.

Toby holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Public Affairs from Columbia University.
