Melissa Russell

Melissa began her career as an Architectural Designer in Portland, Oregon, and is currently a Sustainable Design Analyst at SMMA. She discovered her passion for sustainable design during university, where she focused on material health and performance, eventually studying the impacts of material lifespan on the embodied and operational carbon of buildings. Melissa is well-versed in life-cycle analysis, performance-based design technologies, and decarbonization strategies.
