The Taft House's traditional and historically-appropriate Greek revival exterior shows little of the inner workings that make it an exemplar of sustainable, energy-efficient building technology.  This is because the team at Trillium Architects, under the leadership of Elizabeth DiSalvo, created a home that demonstrates that high-performance can be high-design. These intangibles can be traced back to some very tangible design decisions around air-tight, super-insulated envelopes, and careful material and mechanical selections.

The Taft Faculty House has been recognized with the following awards: 2016 Green Buildings Solutions Award, 3rd Place (International); USGBC LEED Home Outstanding Single Family Project, 1st Place (National); U.S.D.O.E. #1 National House of the Year 2015 1st Place (National); CTGBC Award of Honor 20151st Place (CT) ; CT Zero Energy Challenge 3rd Place 2014

NESEA’s Annual Meeting will take place during lunch prior to the tour. We have designed this year’s meeting to optimize networking opportunities for attendees so they can make new connections and catch up with colleagues. The meeting program will include a short update of the work that NESEA and its members have been doing during the past year presented by NESEA Executive Director, Jennifer Marrapese. If you would like to attend the NESEA Annual Meeting and not the Pro Tour, please contact Katie Schendel, kschendel@nesea.org
