Join other carpenters, builders, and construction professionals for an evening of networking, presentations, and discussion on building science and construction techniques for high-performance building. Each month, we will have short presentations from guest speakers around a chosen topic and then open discussion among the group. Drinks and snacks are provided and attendance is open to all. This month, we welcome Oliver Klein of 475 High Performance Building Supply for a broad-ranging discussion about low-carbon and even carbon-storing construction materials and techniques. Topics covered will include 475’s latest product lines, strategies for low-carbon construction, and high-performance construction details using 2x framing lumber. Building Science for Carpenters is an ongoing series co-sponsored by the Studio for High-Performance Design & Construction (StudioHPDC), the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB), and Passive House Massachusetts (PHMA).
