The content of BuildingEnergy Boston is curated by a volunteer committee of NESEA Members, who collectively put in hundreds of hours throughout the year to ensure that conference sessions are genuinely useful to attendees. 2025 Conference Chairs

Keirstan Entriken is a licensed mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience in energy and the built environment. Keirstan works for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in the Grid Edge Customer Technologies program where she conducts research on large scale thermal systems and technology, including whole-building and industrial systems. Prior to joining EPRI, Keirstan worked at Petersen Engineering Inc, an MEP/FP firm, where she worked as a mechanical engineer and project manager. Keirstan has project experience in large multi-family residential buildings, as well as commercial and institutional projects.

Jacob Deva Racusin is Director of Building Science and Sustainability with New Frameworks Natural Design/Build. As a consultant, designer, and educator, Jacob merges his passions for ecological stewardship, relationship to place, and social justice. Jacob is also an Embodied Carbon Analyst and BEAM Trainer and Co-Developer with Builders For Climate Action. Jacob has authored two books and numerous articles, and instructs on topics of building science and climate impact. An active member of the Carbon Leadership Forum, Jacob is engaged in code and policy development, professional training, and other initiatives supporting the transition to a more just industry.

2025 Conference Co-Chairs

Gregory Smith is a Senior Project Manager dedicated to bringing a focus on sustainability to every project, and promoting awareness and enthusiasm for Passive House, ZNE and carbon neutrality. He is a certified Passive House Consultant through Phius.

Clay Tilton is the Program Manager for the existing buildings team at Sustainable Comfort, Inc. Collaborating with architects, developers, and property owners, he designs and oversees the construction of affordable, multifamily residential projects across MA, NY and CT, prioritizing occupant comfort. Making building science best practices the norm and educating teams on deeper decarbonization and resiliency strategies are how Clay builds momentum towards more sustainable housing. Clay leverages his engineering expertise to ensure that those in need have access to safe, healthy, and affordable housing.
