Every year, millions of square feet of public buildings are constructed, or retrofitted, within the Commonwealth. Each of these projects represents a potential opportunity for members of the NESEA community to have a dramatic impact on the energy usage and the quality of our state buildings - from schools to laboratories to office buildings and more. Yet how many of us are truly savvy when it comes to doing business with the State on large-scale projects?

The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) will be on hand at BuildingEnergy Boston to help fill this information gap. They have scheduled “office hours” with experts at their booth (#549) who can enlighten you on how best to do business with the State as an energy efficiency or renewables practitioner. They will answer questions like:

• How can my firm provide designer services for public building projects in Massachusetts?

• How can I sell my environmentally preferable product to public entities in the State of Massachusetts?

• As a contractor, how can I become certified to do public work on schools, state buildings, and local projects?

• How do I register myself as a Minority-, Woman-, Service-Disabled Veteran-, Veteran-, Disability-, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender-Owned Business Enterprise in Massachusetts?

• How do I find firms in all of the categories listed above to diversify where and with whom I spend my purchasing dollars?
