Bensonwood, a design-build company, located in Walpole, NH, seeks an experienced Digital Communications Specialist to join its growing team.

Position Summary

The Digital Communications Specialist role is responsible for managing and executing  our external digital communications initiatives (SEO, web, digital newsletters and design, digital eco-system), and improving how we connect with our buyers, partners, employees, the media, consumers and influencers.  This role will be located in our Walpole, NH facility.  This role will also be serving Unity Homes which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bensonwood.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communications plans in the digital and social media spaces
  • Develop and post content across paid, free and earned social channels to include blog posts, events, press releases, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos
  • Responsible for managing and leading external digital initiatives to support Bensonwood, including our web presence and our specific websites.
  • Create, manage and grow the Bensonwood presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to blogs, press, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, youTube and Instagram
  • Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, designing, managing and executing social media, digital and web initiatives
  • Creation of press releases, internal employee communications and external communications designed to take advantage of digital and social media spaces
  • Media relations and influencer identification/outreach
  • Real-world experience executing Professional Services and Consumer digital media programs
  • Knowledge of social media guidelines including, but not limited to, WOM and “pay-per-click”
  • Knowledge of media strategy and planning options and the media role in integrated communications
  • Strong writing and visual communication skills
  • Strong pro-active skills as an advisor, executor, and negotiator for a broad variety of interactive services

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Communications, Advertising/Marketing or Journalism a plus
  • 3-5 years experience or equivalent exposure to a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Experience with a variety of web, digital and social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, WordPress, Tumblr, Reddit, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and various applications and plug-ins to enhance digital performance
  • Experience with leveraging social media management and analytics tools including, but not limited to, Google Analytics, HootSuite, Visible Technologies, Radian6, and the like
  • Experience conceiving, writing, editing and crafting content for the digital, web and social media space
  • Experience with or love of green, sustainable, and high-performance building a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation will be based on skill level and experience with anticipated salary range for this role between $40-50,000 annually
